West Point Students Deliver Heartfelt Veterans Day Cards to Local VA Residents
Students from West Point Elementary School and West Point Middle School brought smiles to local veterans on Veterans Day 2025 by delivering handmade cards to residents at the nearby Veterans Administration Hospital.
The initiative, led by Ryan Sloan, a LIMM teacher at West Point Elementary School, aimed to express gratitude and honor the service of veterans in the community.
"This is wonderful, we didn’t have much this year, until this!" a VA staff member said.
One veteran recipient added: "This made my year, thank you."
The gesture highlights the schools' commitment to fostering community spirit and teaching students about the importance of recognizing military service.
